I use an A1 stock on my CAR15. It's a 'veteran', and I would like for it to look new. I'd like to coat (paint) it with something, and have considered truck bed-liner spray or flat black epoxy. Any other ideas?

Brownell's Alumahyde II in matte black - you might want to do the grip and handguards at the same time to make sure it all matches.

Tony; Thanks for the tip! I knew about Alumahyde, but did not know about Alumahyde II and how it can be used on plastics. I just ordered some, plus some Gun Kote for a Mosin Nagant bolt. I have used Brownells Baking lacquer for years, but never tried the Alumahyde.
