| For those of you that use the ERGO Grip, did you purchase the right/left hand model with the thumb shelf or the ambidextrous model and why? I would really appreciate some input before I buy. Thanks in advance. |

I got a Falcon ambi because that's what I had on my SAR-1. I was kinda surprised how different the AR version was, but I really do like it. The Falcon grips are very comfortable on both rifles. I think I'm going to buy another for my next build. |
| Might I mention that there is the rubber overmolded version as well. It makes the grip slightly larger, which is good for people with larger hands. However, it only seems to be available in black. If you get an Ergo grip of any other color, it will be of the same harder plastic like the non-rubberized black, and probabaly ambi. |

The overmolded Ergo grip is the same size as the standard one. There will be colored overmolded Ergo grips very soon. [bounce] |
| Well my overmolded grips feel larger in my hand. Are you sure it isn't the standard grip OVERmolded, making it larger? Are you saying they use a reduced inner grip to overmold to compensate? I don't have them here to compare but it just doesn't feel that way to me. |

It provides the structure to the grip and a hard place for the mounting screw to go through. It's then placed inside the mold and Vyram (a thermoplastic elastomer, the "rubbery" plastic used) is injection molded around it- attaching itself to the hard plastic core. The mold used is identical (if not the same exact one) to the standard Ergo grip mold. I've watched them being made, and I have both types here on my own rifles as well as in store inventory (Adrenaline Arms). The outside measurements are identical. -Cory. |
