Going to be going to a scoped rifle course this fall, long-range course of fire type. My dilemma: All I have is semi-autos, but I don't know if I should purchase a Remington 700-type bolt gun, my scoped AR-10(haven't shot it yet), or scope up my M1A.

What do you think? Any advice?

i can't tell by your post if your Ar10 has a scope or not.  if not, scope it!

you'll drive yourself crazy if you have 2 or 3 projects that you can't even shoot.  i've had my rem700P for 2 years now and i'm finally getting a scope for it.

If money is no object, well hell if money is no object get a fine barreled, accurized rifle and ya get it on a Remington action.  Otherwise ring out that AR10.

Thanks for the replies. I have a Leupold scope on the AR10 (BTW it's an AR10A4, looking to put a free float tube on this summer), but haven't had a chance to sight it in as yet.

Looks like the concensus so far is for the AR10 to accompany me through the course.

Thanks for the help.
