i got my bushmaster upper and was wondering how you guys tell when buying used that they are actually BM uppers because there is no identifing marks on it?
i thought they would have ingraved a BM logo somewhere on it.

I bought an Olympic arms lower and a Colt upper, and have the same question. How do you know what upper you have? I guess any parts gun would be hard to ID.

Did you buy just an upper, or an upper with a barrel?

Bushmaster uppers have an internal moly coating and most have a letter "V" stamped on either the front or rear lug.
