I invite comment on CAV / general opinions / experience with their rcvr's.

I got mine for free, but FWIW I like it.  I have several traditional AR's as well, but found the Cav to be as advertised.  They were great to work with as well as there was an issue with getting the MkII's up and running.  They had sonic welder problems and that fix took some time.  I believe they are shipping now though.

I had an older model lower. I have a new MKII lower now that I have yet to use. I am waiting to built a pistol cal. in .45 out of it

I can tell you they are good people and the MKII is head over heals better than the first one I had.

I the Cav I have is all I could have expected for an AR varient.  Im pretty much a nooblet when it comes to AR's, but its comfortable and plenty accurate for me.

Ill be sending my lower out for the upgrade sometime soon. I havent even seen a MkII in person, so I cant comment on it.

IMO very good products & great customer service (plus big supporters of this site).  I've had the MkI, I now have the MkII, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.  FWIW, several of my "traditional" ARs wear CavArms furniture - I've been very happy with those products too.

Depends on what you are giving for it. I had one,   it was pretty tough, not much to look at, but it served me well. I ended up getting a RRA complete lower to replace it.

Hey guys, what's the story on the upgrade?  I've got one of the MkI lowers, but I'd rather have the MkII lower for an up coming ultralight project.

I think it's $25 to send it in, they trade you for a new lower with your same serial number. I know all the Cav-Arms guys and they are great, the new lowers are sweet to, I was given a chance last Nov to see how they actually make them, it's freaking awesome.

Fill out that form, send it to us with your lower and payment, and we send it back you a new CAV-15 MKII lower with the same serial # in the same condition you sent your old one in (complete or stripped).
