I know most of you hate these guns. I like my P97S. Anyway, I have a line on a good price for one of their Heavy Barrel models. I don't think many of these ever were sold. They have an 18" heavy free floated barrel. I haven't seen it "in person". Anyone have one? What's it like? How's it shoot. Help on this particular model would be very appreciated. |

PO was recently purchased by our beloved Bushmaster company. Bushy is honoring all warranty on guns sold under the PO name, and so if the price is right and it's what you want, I'd say go for it! The newer Carbon guns from Bushmaster have some changes for the better. Take a look at Bushmaster's website for more specific info. Happy shooting, B9 |

I saw one in our gunshop and thought about buying it, until I found out it was just a .22 LR. It had the heavy bull barrel, and looked like the regular PO AR. The price was real attractive also, but again, I found out it was only a 22. You have probably already checked it out, but if not, make sure. Doc |
| These are beautiful weapons, the fluting and 18" bbl. look sweet. These older models used Wilson or Anshutz barrels, and you will probably get one or the other. It is a little unbalanced toward the front due to the light weight of the receiver, but the quality of the barrel is what counts here. I know that pro-ordinance reliability was spotty, but with Bushy's warranty and excellent service, I'd say you cannot go wrong. They have since figured out how to correct any problems the former P.O. rifles may have had and their new Q.C. seems to be pretty good. |
