I am going to be building an M4gery pretty soon. Anyone get the model one sales M4 kit? www.model1sales.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=KCOM46&storeid=1&image=carm4post.gif I'm going to get the A3 with gas block sight base. Good/bad...other comments? |
| I have exactly that, a Model 1 M4 with a 16 inch barrel. I have the flat top upper and the flat top gas blsock. It is topped with a Trijicon Reflex II and I have the Bushmaster flip up front sight and the Swan flip up rear. Make sure you order some double shielded front hand guards as the kit comes with the wimpy and difficult to remove grips. Also, the only problem I had was that after 3 or 4000 rounds the gas blcok began to move. I had to drill two small holes in the barrell so the screws could seat. I haven't had a problem since. It shoots better than 2 minutes of angle with service ammo. |

Quoted: Just curious, why would moving to VA cause you to be unable to buy firearms for 30 days? G23c (in Virginia) This is what I have been told by gun shops and some other people. I have to establish 30 days of residency before I can purchase firearms. Or to clarify, I can buy them, but they have to stay at the gun shop. In my mind that means I am not going to buy anything for 30 days. Might be a new 9/11 law or something, but I have heard it from enough people to not really doubt it. Blue Ridge Arsonal is the big name shop/range that told me about it. Plus a few other people. |
