I think it's a clip for an AR-15 .22LR conversion kit, but I don't know which kit. Maybe some of you AR-15 RKI's can lend a hand.

That looks to me to be one of the .22 conversion kits that the US military used.  The mag is supposed to be inserted into a 20-rd magazine. The spring pressure keeps it in place...

My unit, which I got from Sarco, as I recall, didn't work worth a darn, and I soon got rid of it. Hope you have better luck.

That MAGAZINE (not clip) is indeed for a .22 conversion unit, Army type.  The Air Force uses a different unit, which I much prefer, since it holds the bolt apen after the last round and the Army and commercial units don't.

OTOH, I never had any functioning problem w/the Army unit when I had one[:D]

It is for a 22 conversion. Do you want to get rid of it?

I do want to get rid of it, was planning on running it off on ebay, but if you want it for $25+2 you can have it.
