[ARCHIVED THREAD] - basic ar 15 education

I have a choice to make between Dpms and Bushmaster. DPMS a1 upper light barrel,the Bushmaster a2 upper and a chrome lined barrell.
Also M4 style. The bushmaster is $100.00 more ,is it worth it? Which would you choose and why?

1) What is the twist rate on the DPMS?

2) Is the DPMS a Chromelined barrel?

Personally, knowing/experienceing what I have now, I'd look around for a flattop.

IMHO:
Both are fine choices, but I would go Bushmaster.
Chrome lined, A 2 sights, and the fact I have had nothing but good luck with Bushys.

the twist rate is 1 in 9 for both guns.the DPMS is not chrome lined

I would go with the bushmaster.It's chrome-lined and has a little better quality.

I say BUSHY!

I did and I am well satisfied.

I know if something goes haywire, they are there for me.

As far as ARs go, I have only purchased Bushmasters, so far. I couldn't be happier.

I might have a good deal on an SP1 in line.

Here is the Lite 16 you are looking at I added a ACE stock and a Hogue grip it is the one on the bottom
