i seem to remember seeing an all nylon recoil buffer somewhere a while ago.. not sure if it was even for an AR, but for some reason i think it was. anybody ever see one or know who makes one?

Well Buffer Tech makes a replacement for the one on the back of your Buffer Assy, but I have never seen a factory one wear out.

Colt ships nylon buffers in most of their "civilian" ARs.  The Knights SR-25 has one too.  Both are simply for cost savings over the machined aluminum buffers, but they can cause problems due to being too light.
