| I purchased an SP1 a few years ago, but haven't shot it much. I'm thinking about selling it, but only because I want an accurate rifle. How does the SP1 compare with the stock AR15s now being made by various AR15 builders? I'd hate to sell this neat carbine (callapsible stock) and find out I gained nothing by buying a heavier gun. |

SP1's are one of my top two favorite AR style rifles ever made. While they may be less accurate than an HBAR after the barrel starts to heat up, what they lack in accuracy is more than made up in weight difference. I also prefer the shorter A1 stocks that are on them. And for some reason, I really like the triangular handguards as well. If you could still get this type of rifle with a 1/7 twist barrel, the only other AR type rifle I would buy would be the M4. That's how much I like the SP1. I'd keep it if I were you. -Charging Handle |
