Anyone know where i can check a serial number on a gun to see when it may have been made. There was one floating around here somewhere but i can't find it now. Anyone know where else to look?

Thanks for the link- I was just in the legal section and didn't see anything. But it did answer my question. there is a DPMS sitting at a shop here and the serial number is 11XXX. Not pre-ban I was hoping that maybe just maybe it was. Oh well.
