I picked up a Colt Sporter Lightweight in 7.62 * 39.  A couple interesting items about it.

The forging marking is CMB.  I am used to seeing CM, but have never seen a CMB.  Any ideas?

Also, I thought they were supposed to come with an A2 flash hider, this one has an A1.  The gun looks like new and appears to have been shot very little.

Comments?

Can't comment on the CMB, but the preban 7.62x39s used the same flash suppressor as the 9mm version, which has a different thread size than the .223 barrels. Thus the 9mm and 7.62x39 type suppressors were not, to my knowledge, ever made in the A2 configuration.

Cool deal - that would explain the flash hider.

Thanks,

Are the fire controls the same?
