I am considering the following 16 inch barrels for a new upper: 1) Bushmaster 16"V-max fluted (2.3 lbs) 2) Bushmaster 16"M-4 non-fluted (2.2 lbs) 3) Fulton Armoury 16"M-4 non-fluted (unknown) According to the technical information supplied by Bushmaster, the V-max barrel is a heavy-barrel, and can be fluted. Their M-4 barrel is already considered "lightweight" as it has a reduced cross-sectional area under the handguards. My questions are: A) How does the Fulton M-4 compare to the Bushmaster M-4 with reguard to accuracy? B) How does the Bushmaster V-Match compare to either the Bushy or Fulton M-4 with reguard to accuracy? Thank you for any help. |

Avatar, as to your questions A&B, I have not a clue. As to your barrel selections 1-3, I would instinctively choose No. 1. (If I could move outside your 1-3 choices, I would choose an 18" barrel but I believe that move would cause you to go to a custom barrel. SMGLee reported today on a different thread that he had acquired a match barrel from Georgia Precision for $160. And SMGLee chooses only good weapons and accessories.) |
