Greetings all,

Apologies if my question has been asked before, but I would like to get some experienced feedback on my next AR purchase. I am looking to get a carbine and have heard great things about both Armalite and Bushmaster. Which would you consider better in quality? Price is no objective. :)

Thanks in advance!

Armalite: ALOT more $

Bushmaster: 1 year warranty instead of lifetime

Otherwise it's a wash.

Saw them both at Quantico Arms and I bought the Armalite.

A big difference is the handguard length and sight radius of the carbine versions.  Armalite has a longer handguard on the carbine and a longer sight radius.

The report from the muzzlebrake of the Armalite is deafening, sometimes even with just earplugs under the roof at the range.

My Armalite has never jammed and shoots to the minute of the red dot.......ha!

Handle both.  Look real close.  Both do the job.

I have a Bushmaster and love it.  [8D]

I'm  also pretty new to the game.  I originally bought a 20" Bushmaster, and on a seperate occasion I saw the 16" M4 and had to have it.  I'm very happy with both my Bushmasters even after shooting some other brands.  Can't go wrong with Bushmaster!!!

You can't go wrong with either one so like Green Furniture said, flip a coin.  Wait a sec...get a Bushy.  [:D]

I have had better luck with Bushmaster products than with Armalite products. I would recommend Colt over either however.

Since money is no object, get one of each and you tell US which one you think is better. [:D]

I have never owned an Armalite, but I have three Bushies and I love them all.  If the Armalite is better, it is sure be one hell of a rifle!

Dave at Quantico Arms is good people.  I refer practically everyone looking to buy an ArmaLite to Quantico.

I have an Armalite, a Colt, a Bushy and an Eagle Arms (Armalite with a different name). Truth be told, I like my Armalite the best, and it's a post ban!

The quality is equal;  Price would be the determining factor.

Bushmaster uses 4150 steel in their barrels. This is the milspec and slightly better than the 4140 steel armalite uses. For this reason, I usually stick to Bushmasters. I admit the difference is probably rather slight indeed, but if given the choice, I figure why not go for the better steel?

I got both. Didn't have to make the either/or decision.

I've got one of each and it's a coin toss as far as I'm concerned.
