[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Newbie needs advice

"Howdy" to all of you out there in ar15 land. I've been prowling around this forum for sometime now and it's a great place to come and learn.

I have a bit of a problem. About 5 weeks ago I ordered an Bushy M4 from a small, low volume dealer. I'm still waiting for the rifle to be delivered. Now I've read on the Bushmaster-sponsored portion of this site that the war (and everyone panicking about the war) has slowed delivery times down considerably. I'm wondering though, should I continue waiting or should I place an order with a dealer who does more business with Bushmaster and who may therefore, get more "attention" from them?

I'd get the dealer to call the distributer, since he most likely ordered from them, and not directly from Bushmaster. Also, try to get the dealer to place the order with you present, so you KNOW he indeed placed it.

get your money back.
go to the gun show.
buy a new rock river AR for 650.00
spend the extra 100-200 on ammo and mags.
