Well I finally did it..I just picked up my brand new A2 Bushy, 20" HBAR yesterday.  I took it directly to the range and promptly checked zero and then put 100 rnds downrange. Outstanding AR, I'm truly impressed. Oustanding accuracy with XM193, 55gr.  I can't believe I waited this long to purchase one of these fine pieces of equipement.  I'm so smitten, I just ordered a 16" upper and M4 style stock this morning....You guys never warned me it would be like this???

PS.  Thanks to all those who gave advice on my purchase..Way to go guys!!

I have a Bushy with M4A3 upper and I wouldn't trade it for anything.  You made a wise choice by getting a Bushmaster.

No Archer, I was able to get hooked up at Jerry's.  He was still out of stock (20" A2's) and wasn't getting anything in for a couple more weeks he thought.  This one was on the rack and priced right.  Thanks for the lead on Jerry's though, I'm going to use him to get some mags...

Welcome to the disease. I bought a Bush M4 16" to plink with and on my first outing to the range with it, encountered a gentleman who was sighting in an M14 for a match that was to be held the next day. I was doing the standard 25/300 military sight in procedure at 25 yds and he offered to post a target for me down at the 200yd line. I shot a few at it and he said it wasn't bad shooting and I should come to the match. I did. Me and a 16" M4 and 2 30rd mags and nothing else. I realized instantly that I was under-equipped but shot the match lying in the dirt anyway and had a ball. Then came the upgrades. First was a 20" National Match upper... helped a lot. Then the 1/4moa rear sight with hooded, interchangeable apertures and the hooded crosshair front sight... and spotting scopes and proper mags, a shooting mat and a hogue grip. I used that to finish out the 2002 season. Come fall the reloading gear came... and an A2 lower... and a Compass Lake Engineering free float handguard. Don't forget several hundred dollars worth of tools to install all this stuff... And a shooting stool and a real spotting scope stand. At that point I had replaced nearly every piece of my orignial 16" M4... a bolt and charge handle made it fully functional again. Next.... trigger for the match AR... have fun.
