Ok here is the scenario.

After i sight in my 16" AR at 25 yards using the front sight post up/down to hit nearly the same spot withe 3 shots with the rear A2 sight on "8/3". Now i want to shoot 100m and 200m. do i leave the dial on 8/3 or do i rotate/click it down? there are no '1' and '2' numbers on it.

Little help here please. Any better methods?

I think the Bushamster manual said one click "higher" than the 8/3 mark. The military manual I downloaded is similar, but not accessibale at the moment to double check.
At that range, probably the best is the 50yd method on the Maryland shooter site. I'll try to dig up the link and add it shortly.

As for '1' and '2' the '3' on the '8/3' mark is used for ranges of 300 yds or less, thus no '1' or '2'.

Why so many people recommend the Improved battelsight zero:
A great all purpose zero for all rifles/carbines (no matter the iron sight type); and you zero in yards (50) instead of meters.  It keeps the bullet within 2" of the point of aim from 8M to 220M (very flat trajectory). -- from Maryland AR15 Shooters Site
