I hope this newbie does not get hammered with this question but, Does having an AR15 16" barrel with a 2 position collapsible stock increase the rifles length when the stock is fully opened compared to having the same rifle but with a fixed stock? If so by about how much? Also what do you think of the Rock River Arms standard A4 20" HB rifles compared with Bushmasters & Armalites postbans? Thanks, Jr. :) |
| The ABC's of buying an AR 15 (Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt) should be ABR's. Rock River to replace Colt since Colt's quality has dropped and RRA is building some fine rifles. I have 3 RRA lowers and two uppers (one came complete as the RRA Varminter). Sweet rifles. Their NM trigger is fantastic. |
| The only place RRA falls short of Bushmaster or Armalite is in the barrel. Bushmasters are 4150 and chrome lined. Armalites are 4140 and chrome-lined. RRA is 4140 and not lined. (There are exceptions in all 3 brands, but that's the norm.) If you don't understand the differences, keep reading the forums. Once you understand the differences, you can decide whether they matter to you. |
