| I have seen and touched them.(serial # 2 and 3) Machined from a solid block they look good. They had a fes more things to fix and ready for production in about 2 weeks. The things they are changing is the font of the wording for the selector and renforcing of the part of the lower the lip of the AK mag pivots on when inserted. I'm ordering one. |
| Remember this is Todd from Special Weapons having these made. He's also making a copy of the old Rhino gas system for the Ar in 5.56 and 7.62X39 to go with the lower. You will also have to remove material from the inside of an AR upper receiver to work with this lower to accept the wider AK mag. Check out HK54.com in the AR15 section of the message boards for pictures, prices, and retail sales. I'm going to try a lower and a gas system. Something to tinker with since I have a couple of upper 7.62 uppers and lots of time since I'm semi-retired. |
| Ar mags that take the 7.62X39 round is the problem. Now you will have an AR lower that will take cheap, dependable AK mags mated to a barreled upper in 7.62X39 with an adjustable gas piston system so when you use the cheap chin-com ammo your not cleaning the weapon every 100 rounds. Dependable, accurate, and clean. Just what a weapon should be. |
