Is it possible to determine if an AR barrel is chromed or not by inspecting it? If so what do you look for?

I always look for around the outside of the breach and muzzle ends. Also, if it's new it shouls have a "frosty" look to it, more than a shiny one. Hope this helps. ______________________________________________

EDIT: (computer mustve froze up) look for SILVER around breech and muzzle ends.
