| Is it just me or does it seem like everyone has their RRA uppers on backorder. I'm putting together my first AR and already have my lower assembled, carry handle, case, magazines and 1000rnds of ammo. I'm just waiting for my A4 upper to arrive :(. It's been 4 weeks so far and still no word. Anybody else having to wait this long or is it just me? |

One of the reasons I believe that SableCo is quick is they are right next door to th RRA Factory. Talked to Robert last week and he said there were plenty of uppers of different sorts arriving daily. I had an M4 Tactical Entry w\extra bells and whistles on order fo about 5 weeks. Very much worth the wait!!! Hang in there. |
| Actually I did order mine from Sable Co., but apparently it's the wilson brake that's taking so long. Apparently it's been delayed because of the people that install it have been getting ready for the Shot Show. Hopefully it won't be much longer. Since it's my first AR I'm really excited about it. |

RRA has been very disappointing, in my opinion. I ordered 3 complete LE lowers a while ago. I waited about 4 weeks and then they finally "were at the engravers" for their restrictive markings. 2 weeks later they were "downstairs somewhere". 1 week later RRA asked, "What kind of furniture do you want on those?", even though it was specified initially, 7 weeks prior. 2 weeks later I asked for delivery and they (THEY!) suggested, "Would you like to cancel that order?" Unbelievable. So I took another chance. I ordered a complete barrelled 9mm upper, magwell conversion, and buffer assembly. RRA said it would take 3 weeks. At the end of 3 weeks I received only a stripped upper receiver. I called and asked if they had any record of all the other stuff I ordered. "Um, no." They sound disorganized on the phone, as if everything told to them is on a sticky note buried under some magazines. I was all ready to include RRA among ABC. But now they rate somewhere with XYZ, if you know what I mean. |
| I ordered my upper from SableCo less than four weeks ago and it is getting redelivered in a matter of hours! I was told that getting a brake would add a week or so, but that's okay. I purchased my lower from another dealer and received the old style fixed tele stock, so I sent it back to him. He placed his order for a bunch of stuff, including my stock, a little over three weeks ago and is still waiting. He said it usually takes 3-4 weeks any time he orders something. Well I'll have my upper at least, but I can't go to the FDCC shoot on Sunday since I have no stock:-( |

I'm gonna put in my two cents here...take it for what it's worth. When they tell you that it'll be about four weeks, it'll be about four weeks. I know everyone who works there...nobody's trying to take advantage of you or lie to you, they're doing the best they can within the limitations on them. The rifles and uppers are built to order (and they tell you that right when you order)...no big racks of rifles to go grab one off of. Yours is built for you. Many are built and test fired and out the door in far less than the four weeks. Others can't be, for whatever reason. That's why it's called an "average" build time. If you get yours in three weeks, be happy. If it takes five or six because of something not being immediately available to complete the build, be understanding. It'll be worth the wait. RRA isn't a huge corporation, and nobody here has ever heard them claim to be one. They are a small company turning out a very high quality product at a very reasonable price. Does "crap" sometimes happen? Sure. Do unforeseen delays occur? Sure. Could RRA do things better, at times? Sure. Now insert the name of your other favorite AR manufacturer in the same questions. You should get the same answer to each question. Take it easy. Sluggo |
