| It's about time to make up my mind. Who to buy a kit from, Model 1 sales or J&T? I would like to hear from some of you guys who have bought from them, especialy the ones who have bought from both and can give a comparrison. I am kinda leaning towards Model 1 just because they run about $50 cheaper than J&T. I just don't want to end up with a piece of shit, just to save a little cash. By the way, it will be a flat top carbine with picatinny rail gas block and possibly a free floated tube. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

I have bought and assembled kits from both Model 1 and JT bother were excellent products. I found doing business with both a joy. Products were as described and on time. I have a Model 1 24 inch varmiter with Fluted Barrel, RRA 2 stage trigger and Harris bipod. J&T Tactical Lightweight A3 with pinned TeleStock both are great |

I would say JT beats everyone in the customer service department, but their prices are higher. There are many satified customers on these boards and they sell quality kits. However, I have always been happy with the lower priced kits from M&A parts www.m-aparts.com or Model 1. Both of these companies will get you the part you order and make sure everything is right, and both kits are very nice quality (at least the 4 I have are, Model 1 uses cast front site towers, but otherwise very nice). They do take longer to respond, hard to get questions answered etc. M&A sent me the wrong upper and did exchange it quickly on my last order. So IMHO, My first choice would be M&A they have forged front sight towers, high quality kits, offer many configurations including mid-length handguards, lightwieght uppers, green furniture, and fluting. Check them all out and go with the one that offers the best price for the configuration you want. I don't think you'll be dissapointed which ever you choose. Good luck and have fun! |
