Bushmaster.........but thats just my opinion.

woops......misread the question [:D]

Don't really know but you should be able to get a Bushmaster for around 800 plus or minus. What about RRA.  Check on the equipment exchange and the industry forum.

edited cause misread the question.

Call all your local gunshops & then go visit a gun show & compare prices. Be sure to ask if a rifle is NIB or used!

Friend just got a new in the box Armalite/Eagle 20" M15A2 for $647 on GunBroker from a dealer called Marshfield Arms. [heavy]

If price was a real concern though, you might try a Rock River and buy the upper and lower separately.   Upper is about $390 from Sable Co, and the lower can be had for $215 off GunBroker.

For the best price WITHOUT sacrificing quality...go Bushmaster.

You can find plenty of New In Box bushmasters for under $750, which are easily of equal (or greater) quality than an Armalite that will run you closer to $1000.
