At http://adcofirearms.com I can get the RRA Elite tactical CAR or the Bushmaster 16" Vmatch. Both listed same price, but which is better rifle? I'm leaning toward the Bushmaster for lighter weight, (I have plenty of heavy varmint rifles already). I will have it fluted as well to shave a little weight & I think they look cool fluted. Obvious things between the 2 is that the Bushy is milspec, has chrome lined bore, free float handguard. On the other hand the RRA comes with the NM trigger, tactical carry handle, Wilson barrel, & front sight. Which would you recommend? Thx, HS |

I recommend a Bushie. Especially given the fact that they need support right now with their pending lawsuit I am encouraging people to support Bushmaster. If they fail, what happens next? Which AR manufacturer will they go after next? And right now by buying Bushmaster you are possibly helping support another Ban on AR rifles. But even devoid of that, I think you will find more people who own and are happy with their Bushmasters then Rock River. |
| Rock River....the national match trigger youll never have to replace due to its quality. the fit and finish is equal to if not better. unless your going to go full auto or live under a salt mine i would care less about the chrome lining. if it does matter spend entry tactical and spend the 30 dollars to get the chrome lining. |

[soapbox]I understand the why of supporting Bushmaster, but I think, it's an odd idea that you should buy from Bushmaster over the other manufactures for this reason. I mean, jeepers, they have about 42% of the AR market. "Their" #1!!!, so wouldnt it make even more sense to say companies like RRA needs your buisness, especialy since they only have about 1% or the AR market. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying either of these things. I'm just saying neither statement makes sense to me. Buy the product that you feel will best meet your needs. I'm all for showing support to causes that we feel sympathetic towards, but ask yourself this, would buying a car from ford because they were getting sued, make sense to you? I'd be willing to bet that Bushmaster will win this case, & probly already have sean, & will continue to see an increase of sales, do to this whole silly buisness. Bottom line is they will make more than ever, & probly have a even larger piece of the AR pie to boot. Which means a smaler piece for other co's. & that means less compitition. I also read that Bushmaster is declining to accept monetary help from indaviduals at this time, so I geusse that says alot on it's own. I dont feel sorry for Bushmaster, just angry at our legal system for letting another BIG frivolus suite make it to our already jamed up courts. Getting sued by knuckleheads is just a sad fact of life like taxas. If you really want to help America, get involved with the blocking of another stupid gun ban, & other ignorant gun legislation! |
