I've got a Bushmaster A3 upper with a M4 profile carbine barrel on it.  My problem is that it has, not the mini-y-comp brake, but the larger Y-Comp.  Makes it dog ugly.  I want to remove it & replace it with a smaller brake.  It has a pin sticking out of both sides of the brake, so it's not a blind installation.

My question is...How does Bushmaster install these?  Is it just the pin, pin plus solder, or what?  Is the bbl threaded?

Anyone removed and replaced one of these?

I'd also like some help with this. Too damn loud with it on. Also would like to do this without having to send gun back to Bushmaster.

Thanx

Send your upper to Kurt at KKF and he can remove your existing muzzle device and replace it with his A3 brake.  It's a muzzle brake that looks like an extended A2 FS.  It is much quieter and looks much better.

Kurt does this work all the time.  Check out his forum under Industry.
