Hello all, looks like a great site. My question. I have Houge grips on my AR and while comfortable I hate the way they look. Who makes the best stock grips and are they hard to replace? AntiCrime |
| First of all, I'd much rather function over form any day. The Hogue has a very loyal following (I have them on all my ARs, even a ((rare ?)) green one on the 10.) I have several of the standard A2s that they replaced stuck away somewhere; if you'll pay the shipping I'd be more than happy to send you one; IM me if interested. You might also want to look into the "Battlegrip" @ tangodownllc.com, it has gotten some great reviews here as well. |

Try the duck bill grips, it looks like the older A1 grip but a much better design and improved feel. I have two on the gun right now. CDNN has it for about 8 dollars http://shop.store.yahoo.com/cdnn/arductacpisg.html I was at the SAR show, found a compartment grip that is pretty slick, only draw back is the texture on the grip is too smooth, but I guess I can always ruoughen it up a bit. it looks like the duck bill somewhat but it have a water tight compartment for battery storage. Quoted: IMHO, the Hogue grip is the grip, in both form and function, but notably the latter. I agree - the Hogue is great. The Duckbill is too skinny and the checkering so sharp it feels like a cheese grater in my hand. I still have it on one of my ARs, for when I feel like punishment. |
