| I recently bought the Bushmaster standard AR 15 with 20 inch in stainless, and it is accurate as hell. Which is better, stainless or chrome? Seems the stainless is more expensive. |

What are you trying to accomplish with your rifle? Chrome=acceptable accuracy and extreme durability Stainless=greate possible precision in manufacturing/extreme accuracy. I want to be able to hit a 10" pie pan at 400yds and I don't want my barrel to wear out even though I shoot thousands of rounds per year. I choose military specification chrome lined barrels in my ARs and I choose stainless in my bolt action rifles. |
