I was curious how you remove your front site if you want to put a flip up front sight on or something like that.

Hi, you have to take out the reten pins (two) that are in the lower part of the front sight tower, beneath the barrel, they go out to the same side brass is ejected when you fire your rifle.

A hammer and a STEEL nail with its tip flat.
that's how i took mine off and replaced it with a JT front sight with a bayo lug.

Well, yes, there is ANOTHER roll pin that holds the gas tube into the front sight tower, you'd have to remove that one too if what you want is to swap the front sights, then you can just put the gas tube (using the same roll pin) back into the new front sight.
