I JUST PICKED UP A COLT PRE-BAN COMP. H-BAR.  AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE UPPER IS OF COLT MANUFACTURE.  THE UPPER IS A FLAT TOP, AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE, JUST ABOVE THE FORWARD ASSIST, IS THE LETTER C.  ABOUT A 1/2 INCH FORWARD OF THE C, IS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A COMBINED A AND F, OR A PLUS SIGN WITH A LINE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PLUS SIGN, GOING UP ON AN ANGLE AND MEETS WITH THE TOP VERTICAL LINE OF THE PLUS SIGN.  THE LINE GOES HORIZONTAL.  I DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER WAY TO DESCRIBE IT.

THEN, ON THE FRONT SIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS THE LETTER N, THEN (RI) IN A CIRCLE, THEN 5.  SO IT GOES (N(RI)5)

ON THE TOP OF THE BARREL, FORWARD OF THE FRONT SIGHT ASSEMBLY, IS A (C AND A COMBINED MP  5.56 NATO 1/9 HBAR.

ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANKS

I intended to answer your question, but since you have frighten me by screaming out your question(All in Caps), I have run for the corner and find myself cradled in the fetal position.

Typing etiquette is the key for quick responses.

Not a Colt expert, but at least your barrel is Colt.

Dano is right... Please refrain from using all caps, and welcome to the site

Sorry guys,  I don't know what came over me. I've been in one of those moods after spending the day at the range.
Thanks

If you can get a picture of that upper reciever posted, someone will be able to tell you if it is Colt, what factory or subcontractor made it, and probably the blood type of the guy that installed it.

Upper is Colt for sure. C AF means Colt's Alcoa Forge. Lookslike you have a complete Colt upper assembly.

Go to www.biggerhammer.net for good information.

Enjoy!
