got a rock river and went to remove the barrel to replace handguards but the barrel is so tight that the nut just rounds off.

what to do any hints fellas?

If it will fit, stick the barreled receiver in the freezer overnight. Works almost everytime.

Or, use a heat gun on the nut to break any bonding.

Also, DPMS offers a combo tool that will bite more than just the three points that the standard wrench grabs.  I have found that with this tool and a heat gun, no nut is too tight to remove.
