I have a Recce 5 mod 3 on the way and taper mount flash hider on the gun.

I used a shim to get a nice square shoulder on the barrel, and it's torqued down good, but will the can weld itself to the mount and bring the flash hider off with it?

If so do you recommend rocksett or something?

We recommend 35 ft lbs of torque in installation.  Also the use of Lock Cease 20-20 or Thread mate - two white high temp food grade anti-sieze products that work to ~2000F  If you don't have those, and don't want to buy them any lube or anti-sieze is preferable over nothing.  You can work without it, but you are asking about ways to ensure better performance over time and that definitely will reduce the rick of galling
