I figured that this might be the best place to drop my question.  As the manufacture, would you recommend the RECCE Mod 3 or the SPR for use on a 16” RECCEE build and / or a MK12.  I really haven’t decided yet which direction I want to go but I have been looking at the AE5 cans and their alternative the Griffin SPR for a build.  The SPR is a little lighter and doesn’t have the mounting requirements of the AE5 so I have been leaning that way. I know that it isn’t correct for a clone but I don’t really have to stick to an exact copy if performance is better.  I have also been considering the Mod 3 RECCE 5 as well given how good it performs / has been reviewed. It is a little cheaper and it seems to perform better than the SPR. If I were to build one of these style guns, which would you pick and why?  Also, for background info I have both Surefire and silencerco 556 and cans.  This would be my first Griffin can.

If you want additional gas blow back reduction on a AR type rifle the SPR is nice to have.  No standard muzzle mount silencer will give the gas reduction benefits of an over the barrel silencer.  If that's not a big concern to you than I would go with the Recce 5.  All around more versatile than the SPR.

Thanks for the info.  I ended up picking up a Recce 5 Mod 3.  The wait is on.

The Recce 5 is a great can- you'll like it.  It is high performance, small and light.    I'm not a lightweight everything guy, but I do appreciate it in cans where that weight is so far out from the CG.

Great questions...  Again, I should stop looking through the GA catalog...  I've been looking for an SPR style suppressor and you have what appears to be a very nice pair - the SPR (OTB) and the RSTA (OTB).

My biggest concern for this suppressor is accuracy.  What have you seen with these suppressors versus your others?  Accuracy improvements or does it stay the same?

Can you use the same suppressor mounts for the RSTA?  example - if I were to buy an RSTA and a couple mounts, could I have the RSTA for a .308 gun and then use that same suppressor on a 5.56 gun with the appropriately threaded/sized mount?  Looks like the 5.56 suppression numbers are the same for both the RSTA and SPR...
