RSTA 7.62 or Recce7 which suppressor is quieter. Now that silencers will be legal for hunting in Maine I'm all in.
Second what are the OAL and Diameter of the Taper mount blast shield. Will a blast shield be made for the RSTA. Thanks Griifin, Jim |

Will a blast shield be made for the RSTA. Thanks Griifin, Jim The RSTA is 2-3 DB more quiet on the 7.62mm platform. It is probably 1-2DB more quiet in 5.56mm subcal. We haven't tested it in 300BLK - we've been pretty busy and have a lot scheduled that needs to get done. The OAL and Diameter of the blast shield is 2.65" x1.47" A RSTA blast shield is not planned. The over the barrel cans are less popular because they have more limited mounting compatibility (AKA when there isn't a barrel diameter or length behind thread shoulder that is compatible). We now have muzzle mounts for the RSTA and SPR to alleviate that, and the older cans are rated for 5.56mm use with RSTA's over serial 105, and SPR's over serial 50. The mod 4 RSTA and mod 3 SPR (current production versions not yet announced) will have unrestricted compatibility with the muzzle mounts - AKA a 7.5" 5.56mm or 13" .308 rifle would be compatible with the muzzle mount. Also the mod 4 RSTA will be 300 win mag rated on 22" or longer barrels. |
