Nice Rudy! Describe the recoil and bounce difference for the 45 blow back vs gas operated and pro's & con's of each.

As soon as I get my balances paid down, I'll figure out which I "need". :)

Got the 9mm barrel, work was perfect, haven't shot it yet though.

Thanks!

Bottom line...less recoil costs more... I can put a full mag in a six inch circle in one burst with the DI with little effort.....can be done with the blowback but requires significantly more training. Now that we have the buffer weight on the blowbacks up to 10 ounces.....they are significantly smoother to shoot than with the 8 ounce ones, never was unpleasant but you can feel the difference.

DI is cleaner......but blowback will run filthy
Handguards are limited on DI due to the gas system.....no so on the blowback.....I prefer 8 inch or longer on the DI.....if you want a 2 inch blowback.....we can make it...

I have had some people comment that the Blowback suppresses better than the DI, less port bark....but I am so deaf I can't tell the difference.

One real difference........while out of battery discharge is highly unlikely with the blowback....it is technically possible.......but as the DI won't fire unless the bolt is fully locked.....It isn't a possibility.

Rudy, glad to see the new site up. Looks great!

Any plans to release a 15 round magazine? I see the 20s and 10s... cannot get 20s since I'm not issued a .45 AR (if I could, would have done it), and the 10s are the same capacity as my USC magazines. Would love a 15 rounder, as it is right up there with the state limit.

First, congratulations on getting the site up.
If I can make a recommendation.
For the kits if you include a second drop-down option of mag capacity, customers from ban states could order online and not worry about the "Two 20-round magazines" that are included in the kit.
I know that an email could also request substitution of the mags but some folks like easy one step ordering online.
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.

I can't comment on the blowback model, but on the DI model the recoil is negligible.  I was holding the SBR fairly loosely in these videos.

hey Rudy glad to see your sight up and running if I bought an adapter and mags do you think I could get my 10mm di ar going ?

Well, that was the bump I needed to pull the trigger...

Just ordered an 8" DI conversion kit and 4 extra mags.  I've got a SBR lower set aside for it but going to spend a lot of time on top of my M16, too.    Can't wait to see it, Merry Christmas to you and me!!

I'm still not satisfied with the mags and 10mm reliability....

And Thanks for the order......!!!!!!

is it just messing with the feed lips on the magazines that are needed
12/6/2016 9:08:05 PM EDT
[Last Edit: Mad-Machinist][Edited] [#13]
No...the feed lips tweak is no problem .....it is the follower I am concerned about....as I have said...a single round from the mag feeds perfect....getting the stack to feed is entirely different.
Be patient...took me 3 years to get the current 45 mag right.

Merry Christmas, Rudy.

One question, are you going to offer 15 rounders in your .45 magazines? I love the design of your magazines over the USCs, but would want a reliable one that brings it up to the state limit opposed to the same capacity.

Once we get the 10 round sorted out.....and I can set aside the budget for it....yes we are gonna do 15 round mags....
The 10 round is tested...but the vendor who makes the bodies has had a series of setbacks causing me to reject the initial shipment.

You are the man!

Just got to get them squared away by January of 2018 (Christie leaving... even though he isn't a 2nd Amendment friend, he doesn't go out of his way to hurt us). Gun rights in NJ might be hard pressed for privately owned firearms after then.

Might be transitioning to another agency... hopefully across the river. If that's the case, then I'll order 20s.

The site is nice.  Clean, simple, sharp, functional.  I say that as someone in the digital e-commerce website business.

Placed my order last night - a 45 AR pistol is about to the join the 556 and 300BLK pistols!
