I have a light weight 20" rifle gassed barrel with non adjustable gas block with a rifle buffer & spring.
Can I run your carrier using varmint loads and 45grain bullets as well as 55 grain fmg mil surp. I see Jesse and the guys running 18" rifle gassed barrels with carbine length buffer tubes (not sure what wt buffers they use) but that seems to run well. Have you guys done enough experimentation with various springs and buffer weights to make recommendations? Thanks in advance -Doc |

Just a standard carbine spring and 3.0 oz carbine buffer seems to be the best setup overall.
You can run anything from 40 gr bullets up to 77 gr, we've tried them all. Mil ammo is fine although hotter than what you need for many hoser type matches. |
