One Micro, one CompML3, both in Larue mounts.
I have a story regarding the Aimpoint 2000.
I bought one from a friend back in 2008 for my rifle, a LMT Defender 2000 SOPMOD. I paid him $25 for it.
It used a CR123A battery.
When I finally got my SBR stamp in for that rifle, I had that optic ready for a 10.5" upper I'd built. This was in April of 2011.
I also owned a CompM2 at the time and it was turned to setting 7 as to permit longevity of battery life. I figured I'd like to find out how long an Aimpoint 2000 would last with the intensity of the dot the same as my CompM2.
I would check it daily to see when the CR123A actually quit. This happened for several weeks. Then I'd check it once a week. 3 months, 4 months, 5 months.
It wouldn't quit.
6 months.
7 months. I got tired of looking at it just keep chugging along, and I wanted to get a suppressor, so I sold that optic with a Beretta CX4 in November of 2011 and bought my first silencer.
The dealer that bought that gun from me no longer has it so I kind of miss it. I'd buy that optic back in a heartbeat if he'd let me.
Keep in mind, the Aimpoint 2000 was discontinued in 1989. At the time, that red dot was at least 22 years old.
This is why I continue to purchase Aimpoint to this day.
Thank you all for making excellent products.
