I just purchased a Sig MPX and am interested in a 9mm silencer for it. As of right now, I'm leaning towards the Griffin Revolution in 9mm. From what I've read, the MPX thread is a 13.5x1 LH. However, because it is a fixed barrel, I assume I don't need a piston for it, correct (this will be my first can). If that's the case, what should I order to attach it? Also, would I then be better off buying a 1/2x28 piston for my pistols (in particular my PPQ which I will at some point buy a threaded barrel for) and separately buying an adapter for the MPX as I assume the piston will be more expensive than a simple adapter and that the piston is unnecessary on the fixed barrel? I'm also in the process of transitioning my 5.56 SBR to 300BLK (well, buying a new barrel) which I would also like to use this suppressor on with subsonic rounds if that changes your thoughts at all.

I like the Revolution for it's potential to be shorter should I want it to be and its "cleanability" though, with my inexperience, I'm not sold that these are necessities. I have also considered the Mystic X and the Octane for this purpose if you have any thoughts on those instead. Lastly, given that I would predominantly be using it on a new Sig product, which their rep at the NRA show in Nashville said, are all being built for their silencers from the ground up, would it be worth my while to just wait for the Sig products? With your admittedly limited experience, should I be considering them anyway over the Revo 9?

Thanks in advance for the help, I realize there's a lot to answer there!

There is a lot going on here so if I miss something just let me know.

You would need the 13.5 piston with a fixed barrel spacer to use it on your MPX. Depending on the barrel for the PPQ the thread pitch could be different. You could use the silencer on a 300 blackout with subs but not 5.56 in super or subs. That would require a different piston as well. The Griffin Revolution is a great silencer and works well. I'm assuming that you saw the Youtube video that we did. The results were impressive. It is very similar to the Octane but have the feature for making the silencer shorter and the Ti coated baffles. With limited experience on the Sig silencer it is hard to compare it to anything but the Griffin is hard to beat.

Let me know if you have any questions.

That helped and answered enough of my questions that I placed an order for a Revo 9 through you guys last night with the 13.5x1. Ultimately, I think I will probably just buy a similarly threaded barrel for my PPQ.
My only question that remains is about the spacer you mentioned in addition to the piston. What exactly am I looking for?
