After scouring the Internet and learning that they are shipping their has to be some on this site with them.

I saw the suppressed shooting video but no real good videos

I know shooting times had an article in December but I really want to hear from people who have ran them and ran them hard .

I am hoping to either pick one of these up sometime or the 22mag from Nordic if/when they finish it

Also are bolts/mags/and BCG's going to be available for those of us that want to purchase our own handguards and upper receivers?

We are also suprised that more people haven't gotten on to post, but it reinforces that MOST shooters aren't on the boards a lot.

At this point it is unlikely that we will doing any bolt/barrel/mags/bcg kits. As the project has progressed, we have found that there are enough variants in uppers, trigger groups, etc. that tolerances and balancing those tolerances become somewhat difficult to manage. As noted on our site, some of the "Match" trigger groups simply will not work with the 17 HMR.

The great difficulty with this is that people have come to view the AR as a "tinker toy for big boys" project, and while almost all the variants of 5.56 have been worked over and ironed out with time, that is not true of the other cartridges that are suitable for the AR, and especially not true of the 17 HMR, which requires much more thought and trial than one would expect from such a diminuitive cartridge.

At this point, the only options are what is listed on our web site, and we don't expect major changes to that in the near future.

Thanks for the info

Out of curiosity will you be offering this in a Side Charging upper or would the weight of the charging handle throw off the bolt weight too much?

Well I have one of the 17hmr and so far I like it a lot!! Only about 75 rounds though it.

I have been dialing it in with the scope but the thing works flawless....

The only down side I can see
Its a bit on the high priced side for a rimfire, but after shooting it you will be very happy

Dave - Thanks for chiming in

I am envious.  I do agree that it is a bit high priced for a rimfire but it is unique in the fact that if is one of the few semi-auto 17hmr's out there (VQ makes one and on Gunborker some dude was selling one made by Chiappa as a prototype) but if it works as advertised it can see it coming in real handy

BTW how dirty does it get?   Do you shoot it with a suppressor on it?

Thanks

Yep I agree there is not to many semi 17hmr's out there!!

I have one of Spike's ST-22 as well and the 22LR seems to be a bit more dirty at the end of the day at the range.

The 17 HMR works very well.

I have not yet put my suppressor on yet so I can't tell you anything about that yet, soon I will.
