I just picked up one of these to go with the Adjustable LED RMR's that Cabela's was closing out.  It came without a bottom sealing plate.  Is this needed for the ALG mount?  Or will it even fit?  The basic sealing plate is $8.20 off their website, so no big deal, I just want to make sure I mount this thing up correctly so I don't up destroying it.

It seems that the RMR does not have a factory sealing plate. It should have a rubber seal that mates to the 6-Second Mount. I think they do this to keep the profile as low as possible.
