I ordered a S3G trigger a couple of weeks ago from Palmetto and installed it this past weekend.  I put it into a CMMG "Bargin Bin" that I picked up a couple years ago.  I took it out Friday and had 3-4 rounds fail to fire per mag., the hammer seems to be riding the bolt.  I tried several different mags,  as well as ammo.  Brass seemed better (XM855 and IMI M193) and while it's less frequent, it still happens, maybe 1-2 time per mag w/brass.

Last night to took the S3G trigger out and re-installed the stock trigger.  I then loaded up some GI and Pmags with some Herters (the crappiest ammo I have) and the gun ran flawlessly.  

Since it is pouring rain this morning and will most likely rain all day, I thought I would post a question.  Is it possible that the FCG hole locations are out of spec. causing this?  I plan on putting the trigger in my BCM and see what happens, but I am not going out to the range today.

Anyone have some input on this?

I had the same issue with mine.  Sent it back and they put a new disco and spring it.  Got a hat and patch out of the deal.

I called them late yesterday afternoon.  They suggested removing the
hammer and checking to see if there was interference between the safety or relief hole where the trigger potrudes through the lower.  Everything seemed to fit fine, no dragging or hang ups.


I am going to try it in another gun and see what happens.  I know they will make it right so no worries there.

Call back to the shop and tell them about your check and how there was no interferance. Give us your shipping address so we can send you another trigger and sase for the old one.

I was having the same issue with my SSA and after 3 months of back and fourth with the trigger and the guys at Geissele....its fixed. Nothing my dremel couldn't handle.

They sent a replacement that arrived yesterday but it was the SD3G.  They have another on the way.



They are great about service, the replacement got here quick and they even said they weren't worried about getting this one back before they sent out the correct replacement.

You should try the SD3G, I love mine. You may decide you want to keep it.

If you have time Safe1 go ahead and try the SD trigger.  Then when the S3G comes you can decide between the two which one to keep.

Just wanted to let you know I got the S3G today and another hat .  I didn't get out today to shoot and see the difference between the two, but I hope to make it out tomorrow.

I finally got out today to put some rounds through the rifles with the replacement/s triggers.  They both worked great.  I think I am going to stay with the S3G though, it just felt more normal to me.

I will get them in the mail and on their way back to Geissele on Monday.

Ummm...after today's conversation all I will say is Geiselle's customer service makes Dillon Precision look weak.  I say this keeping in mind Dillon has been some of the best I have ever dealt with, until dealing with Geiselle!  

Geiselle, thanks for going above and WELL BEYOND making things right!
