I previously posted that I got the trigger in my SCAR 17S yesterday. Install was easy and only took about 10 minutes. I took it to a 100 yard range this morning about 9:00 AM. The berm faces east so the sun was in my eyes, not a major factor but it was a factor. My optic is an ACOG TA11. It's a great fast optic but when the sun is this bright the reticle covers a 1 inch square at 100 yards. I didn't tape up the light gathering tube, I just shot. The group in the pic is ok. The taped up shots were called flyers. The group was shot using Hornady 168gr AMAX. I shot another group with PRVI 168gr and it wasn't as good but surprisingly decent for ammo half the price of the Hornady. Back to the trigger.

The trigger pull on the Super Scar measured at 4.5lbs compared to 6.5 on the factory trigger. The factory trigger felt heavier because of the grit and heavy long press. The Geissele is clean, smooth and the 2 stage really feels like a good single stage. The final mag was loaded with with PRVI shooting 20 rounds at a silhouette at 100 yards and I got 20 hits, it was so easy it was almost boring.

The trigger is expensive at $400 but well worth it in my opinion. Would I have liked the factory trigger to be this good on a rifle this expensive? Hell yes. But it wasn't and the SCAR has so many plusses, and the fact I was able to score ten mags with the rifle, it was an easy decision to spend the money. The SCAR is now reasonably accurate from a bench and definitely improved offhand, the trigger is awesome!

I shot a few rounds with my can, a Gemtech HVT. POI was about 2" low and 2' left. I can live with that!
