Alexander Arms is on the Radford Arsenal and does not have retail facilities at the site. Since the site is on a US Army Arsenal site, its not like visiting some other manufacturers. Visiting AA is not impossible, but is not part of everyday life, either. Any visits must be prearranged, and then require checking in at the main gate, and then being picked up and escorted by AA personnel to the facility, passing through other checkpoints. I don't know all the stuff they do behind the scenes at the main gate, but it takes some time to clear their hurdles. I guess the best way to say it is that it isn't like walking into a gun store. It will take time. Its a manufacturing facility, not a typical retail location with displays, etc., and for most people, it probably would be a little bit boring. Not a lot to see, apart from rifles being put together. |
