I bought a 24" Grendel kit from you guys about a year ago.  It was my first build and i also was just starting out reloading. Anyways i couldn't get ammo to work correctly.

The bolt would close on factory ammo however the bolt would jam and it was very very hard to remove the ammo without firing it. When i finally got the cartridge out the bullet would have spiral scratch marks on it like it was being forced into the barrel.

When i would reload ammo i had to make the ammo much shorter than the Max COAL just to get the bolt to close.

I took it to a gunsmith recently after i had finally given up trying to figure out what i was doing wrong and to see if it was a problem with the gun. He said he wasn't extremely familiar with the Grendel but that he thinks the chamber is off causing the bullet to be pushed into the barrel.

I know it might be a little bit late to try and return it to get it fixed or replaced but if this is at all possibly i would greatly appreciate it.

Also any ideas from other people on what i might be doing wrong would be awesome!!!

Thanks

EDIT: Because of these problems i have hardly shot the gun at all.

If you want to call in and get an RMA number, we can send the barrel back to Shaw to get the chamber inspected and see about getting the issue resolved for you.  With the upper, submit a good description of the problem, and an example so that we have the most information possible.

Thanks,
