I have a DoubleStar upper with a 16 inch m4 profile barrel on it.
I need to remove the birdcage in order to switch out the gas block... I'm just wondering what kind of voodoo magic do y'all use to attach these things... It will not budge, not one bit. It definitely does not appear to be permanently attached by traditional means. (welding) Would definitely love to know the trick to your flash hiders. |

Providing that it is not permanently attached (take a close look around the ring at the base of the flash hider closest to the barrel and look for any blemishes or deformities, that would signify that it may be pinned & welded on), they are simply threaded on. Someone might have been having a rough day and cranked her down or may have had to go another full rotation to get it properly aligned. She should just thread right off.
