[ARCHIVED THREAD] - YHM free float forearm

Will a YHM light weight free float forearm (CAR length) work on my 16" fluted bull barrel. It already has the standard free floated forearms, but I want the rails. Also very happy with my JT kit as well, would buy again.

The YHM barrel nut is a bit undersized for a bull barrel, so it would have to be opened up to work.

Thank You for the quick response. Is there another make/model forearm you would recommend, or is it a case of having to make some kind of modification regardless of brand?

Either a Badger with Tactical Rails, or a PRI rail handguard would work witha bull diameter barrel without modification. We can modify a YHM nut so it will work, it would run ~$20 for the shop work.

Hi, I have tried to call the past two days but the line has been busy each time. This is in reference to my order (#15019), the carbine length YHM lightweight railed handguard. Can you tell me if the barrel nut had been opened up. It doesn't look like it and I wasn't billed. Just wanted to make sure before I send it back for the work. Thanks.
