The only problem with the 7.5" uppers is that they have a tendency not to cycle without playing with them.  The same problems also exist with the pistol buffers, we're in the process of trying to get some steel ones ran again with some Wolf 28 lb. springs so that they are more likely to work.  Basically pistols can be nightmares to get to cycle reliably, which was the reason that we discontinued them several years ago.

As for running a special, we've got some ideas bouncing around, but haven't came up with anything yet.

I emailed about the 8.4" barreled one and they said it wasn't available......(manufactuer went out of bussiness).

I don't know what your pistol buffer looked like (never seen one), but since there is only one source of a "pistol" buffer I know of that has been available for some time and have experiance with that..... a Wolff spring made that one work.... (not mentinoing any names of companies....)
