I recently obtained an IWC quick-detach sling swivel mount for the Troy VTAC handguard.
In a nutshell, it's very nice. Big enough to be solid, small enough to remain out of the way, nicely rounded to avoid abrading the hands, every QD swivel in my unexpectedly large collection fits snug and locks secure, yet releases with the push of a button (I know... what a concept, but I've experienced other swivel mounts that were cut too shallow to lock with some swivels, or so tight they were sticky to release.)
The swivel mount limits rotation to keep the sling from bunching up.
The anodizing is hard, even, and matches the handguard far better than my crappy photos allow... I have managed to scuff it up a little during honest use, but nothing has penetrated the finish. Round it off with a professional looking logo unobtrusively placed, and you've got a winner.
The mount is packaged thoughtfully, instructions are well done, and a plastic stip is included to help lower the backing plate into the inside of the handguard. I found that using a little double sided scotch tape made things go easier during installation, the backing plate kept falling off the plastic strip otherwise.
Highly recommended and a great company to deal with.
Please excuse the awful pics, they were taken in a poorly lit armory with a point and shoot digital in a rush at work. I threw in some smoke, a stingball and a bang to jazz things up.
For anyone interested, this rifle has Colt guts in a RRA lower, Failzero bolt/carrier/cam pin/hammer (runs like a top dry and cleans easy), Battlecomp, LOVE the TD mags, MOE furniture, and other stuff I've given a whirl over the years and liked enough to keep. Sort of a constantly evolving Frankengun...
