I'm considering updating a Noveske VTAC upper (which is equipped with the 11" Troy VTAC Alpha rail) with the Troy VTAC MLOK handguard.  Will these fit on the existing barrel nut?  What are the weights of the 13" and 15" VTAC MLOK rails?  Thanks!

No weight info but I may be able to help with your other question.

If your existing rail has two allen screws at the bottom that act as a pinch point you have an older style that uses a proprietary barrel nut. Newer rails that have four allen screws at 2:00, 4:00, 8:00 and 10:00 should be compatible with the VTAC MLOK.

According to my postal scale the 13" MLOK VTAC is .60 pounds without barrel nut or mounting screws/pieces.

I bought one of those complete uppers from primary arms that has this rail and it seems solid.

Can't really judge how the weight is because the barrel is much thicker than my last two uppers. Pencil barrels + flimsy KMR rails make for a light rifle.
