There is a LGS that has two Troy CQB-SPC 3 carbines that look good but when I tried to find online info there's not much available. Went to Troy's site and there is just the minimum specs like barrel length and weight and caliber. The barrel appears nitrided and to have a mid-length gas system but no specs on this. Barrel is stamped 1/7 but would like to know what steel was used for it. There was a thread here in the AR-15 section but was just bashing and NO substance on this actual rifle. Does anyone or Troy have more specs for this carbine?

I'd like to know too.  Chrome lined or nitride or just plain ol' steel?

Give a call to Molly over there.  She may be able to help you out.  How much ate they asking?

I strongly believe their barrels are nitrided. I know they aren't chrome lined for sure. I have been looking at them and seriously considering getting one and using it as my patrol rifle.

ETA: The barrel is nitrided but it appears the barrel extension isn't. The real happy thing about the rifle I got was that every mag I tried on it drops freely loaded and unloaded. I tried 3 different 30 rd PMAGs, 1 20 rd PMAG, and the Troy Battlemag. Looks like Troy fixed that issue.
